Detailed Description

Clematis chinensis Osbeck is a perennial woody vine in the Ranunculaceae family, belonging to the genus

Clematis. Stems and small branches are nearly hairless or sparsely covered with short hairs. A feather

shaped compound leaf; Small leaflets are papery, ovate to ovate lanceolate, or linear lanceolate or ovoid

in shape, with a sharp to gradually pointed tip at the top and a circular, broadly wedge-shaped to shallowly

heart-shaped base.

Functions

Distributed in southern Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, southern Shaanxi, Guangxi, Guangdong, Hunan,

Hubei, Henan, Fujian, Taiwan, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, southern Jiangsu, and south of the Huai River in

Anhui, China. Vietnam also has distribution. Growing on mountain slopes, in valley shrubs, or by

the edge of ditches or roadside grass.
