Detailed Description

Equisetum hyemale L., a perennial evergreen herbaceous plant in the genus Equisetum of the family Equisetaceae, has a rhizome that is either horizontal or upright, black brown in color, and long yellow brown hairs on nodes and roots; The above ground branches are perennial, reaching up to one meter or more in height

Functions

Common Scouring Rush Herb are mainly produced in Northeast China, North China, Inner Mongolia, and various provinces in the Yangtze River Basin. They are also distributed in Japan, the Korean Peninsula, Russia, Europe, North America, and Central America. Wooden thieves prefer to grow in shady and humid areas under mountain slopes and forests, and are prone to grow in riverbank wetlands, stream banks, or mixed grasslands. Potted plants need to be moved indoors to a temperature not lower than 0 ℃ for overwintering in winter.
